This song was written to a series of prompts exploring our experience of white conditioning, and our imagination of what could be and could have been experienced in a world without white supremacy. These prompts were developed by SURJ members who organized artists from across the nation in multiple disciplines. I was part of a cohort of songwriters who supported each other in this difficult work. All proceeds from this track will go toward recording costs of this song and the many other songs like it that I've written.
